Saddle Billiard - Grade C Sold!

Okay, I’m guilty. I have a thing for Saddle Billiards and Lovats. Here is another Billiard that I am very pleased with. I wouldn’t call this a chunky pipe, but the shank is substantial at .67”. The stain is Brindle (formerly Cumberland), and the stem is Brindle (formerly Cumberland) ebonite. Why formerly? Because Dave Field is right, Cumberland is a Dunhill term and it should be left to their marketing efforts (P&T magazine, Summer Issue 2006). We fountain pen collectors call the stuff red/black hard rubber, but for pipes I’ll follow Dave’s lead.
